Annual One-Day Holiday Sale                                                                        January 2007
The Annual Sale for 2006 featured a new all day long format. We received many positive comments from customers. Customers liked having more hours to choose from, not having to wait in line and being able to view merchandise without feeling crowded by others. Sales were very strong. We will continue with this format in the future.

Update - Renovation of the 18th Green

As most of you have already seen, construction work on the 18th Green is essentially complete. To refresh your memory, or in case you did not know, the 18th Green had experienced a number of problems caused by differential settlement of the landfill under the area. There were very few options for pin placement. After review, staff believed it was appropriate to submit a request for funding to the City Council to renovate the green. The Council approved the project as part of the City’s Capital Improvement Program for 2006-07. The project started in October. Weather permitting, we hope to open the green in February or March.

New Cart Paths for #16 and #18
A project to install cart paths on the temporary paths at #16 and #18 has been approved. Specifications have been developed. The project is out to bid. Construction is scheduled to occur in mid January or early February, weather permitting.

Shoreline Road Project
Work continues on the Shoreline Road Project. The new permanent in bound lane is completed. We are currently using it to exit the park while construction crews work on the new permanent out bound lane. The project has been delayed a bit due to recent rains and high winds. However, the underground work and asphalt portions of the project should be completed by the end of January with landscaping to follow.

New Staff Member
Interviews for a new permanent part-time Assistant Golf Professional are nearly completed with a new staff member expected on board in mid to late January.
