REMINDER: New Range Schedule

Effective May 1, the range will be closed on Wednesday mornings instead of Thursday mornings. A recent analysis of play showed the largest number of weekday rounds occurs on Thursdays, however, that was the one day the range was closed. As rounds were lower Wednesdays, it was determined that Wednesday would be a better day to close the range for maintenance as fewer customers would be inconvenienced.

Maintenance crews worked on the short game area on the far side of the pond during April. The entire chipping area and chipping green was aerified, reseeded with ryegrass and lightly topdressed. The bunker face to the green had one to two feet of sand buildup removed. This area was then releveled and new sod applied. Thank you to the crew for a job well done!

New Local Rule – Bird Droppings

The USGA has recently approved the addition of a local rule for Shoreline Golf Links concerning bird droppings. The rule states: if a player’s ball lies on, next to or has feces adhering to the ball, the player may mark, lift, clean the ball and place it within 6 inches of the original spot, no closer to the hole.
